International Youth Exchange

International Youth Exchange (IYE)

The IPA offers siblings of members the opportunity to experience other’s culture whilst staying in the safety of the family circle or by hosting other member’s children.

Through the International Youth Exchange Programs our youth is at a young age provided with opportunities to establish a sense of friendship and appreciation of others as well as educating themselves further - be it at social, linguistic, geographic and historic level.

In the event that members “offer to act as hosts” or their children wishes “to be hosted”, it is recommended that the internationally prescribed process and forms be used.

In this regard, “ISC Guidelines for Youth Exchange - Holiday Placings” will be applicable and needs to be adhered to.

A successful International Youth Exchange programme depends on proper co-ordination and it as such recommended that the following be applied:

Make application one year in advance;

Provide specific, accurate and readable facts;

Complete one form per application;

Give clear details of your offer of exchange.
