- WHAT IS IPA SOUTH AFRICA?
Our motto in Esperanto is:

IPA South Africa is divided in 20 Regions with their own democratic elected Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurers who also form the National Council and they elect a National Executive Committee who is administratively responsible for the well being of IPA South Africa. The National Executive Committee consists of a President, 3 Vice Presidents, Treasurer and Secretary General.
We are committed to the ideals of the International Police Association and endeavor maintaining and uphold it.
The IPA South Africa Constitution is based on IPA the International Statute and rules. We deviate from that to suit South African circumstances but we may not be in contradiction to the International Statute, Rules and Directives.

As president of IPA (SA) my personal motto is: “It is not what the IPA can do for me but what I as individual can do in fulfilling the Aims and Objectives of the IPA”. - J Loots
- IPA South Africa has five guesthouses in South Africa with affordable accommodation for members. There are 60 or more other houses throughout the world.
- While still serving you may have the opportunity of Studying other police methods being housed by IPA guest families or accommodated in IPA Guesthouses.
- There are Hobby Secretaries who may help in exchanging or getting things.
- Pen friends
- You receive a lapel badge and identification card - which is necessary when making use of IPA South Africa facilities here and abroad - as well as an IPA South Africa Constitution.

As we always say, you make as much of IPA as you wish it to be!
Serving SAPS members will pay currently R 17.50 per month via their persal deductions. Other potential candidates pay R 210.00 membership fees annually and if required arrangements can be made for bank debit order thereafter. Membership fees may be adjusted from time to time.
Remember once a paid-up member you have the right to speak and vote at your Regional/Branch Annual General Meetings.
